Miller Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
The Milwaukee Brewers got off to a great start to their homestand, sweeping their last opponent. With the Washington Nationals coming to town, they have good reason to believe that success can continue.
The Brewers look to win their seventh straight at home as they open a three-game series against the Nationals on Monday.
Milwaukee (24-23) improved on the NL's best home record with an 3-1 win over Colorado on Sunday, moving to 16-6 at Miller Park this year.
The Brewers had only two hits in their latest victory, including Ryan Braun's two-run triple in the third. He came around to score on a fielding error on the same play.
The triple extended Braun's hitting streak to 12 games.
The Brewers appear to have turned things around after a slow start, winning six in a row at home and 10 of 13 overall.
"I'm just happy with the way we've played for the last couple of weeks. I think we're playing the kind of ball that allows us, in a long season, to get to where we want to be," manager Ron Roenicke said.
