The surging New York Mets have a chance to go over .500 for the second time this season. A win would also give them their longest road winning streak over the Atlanta Braves in 22 years.
The Mets look to R.A. Dickey to baffle the Braves yet again as they go for a sweep of their NL East rivals on Thursday night.
New York (34-34) has won nine of 13, including a 6-3 record during this 10-game road trip, to return to .500 for the fourth time. The Mets haven't been over the break-even mark since they were 3-2 on April 6.
Dillon Gee and three relievers combined on a two-hitter in New York's 4-0 win over Atlanta on Wednesday.
"Well, we're here, but we've got to stay here now," manager Terry Collins said. "It's been a long road and a long uphill battle. Now we've got to move forward."
Collins' team has won four straight against the Braves.
A sweep of this three-game set would give the Mets their longest winning streak in Atlanta since a five-game run bridging 1988 and 1989.
