New York Mets vs Chicago Cubs

Wrigley Field, Chicago, Illinois
Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran don't appear stung by New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon's scathing comments published in a recent article.
They'll try to lead New York to its second straight win at Wrigley Field Thursday in the finale of a three-game set with the Chicago Cubs.
Earlier this week, The New Yorker posted a profile of Wilpon on its website that contained sharp criticism of Reyes, Beltran and David Wright. Already facing a lawsuit to recover money for victims of Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme, Wilpon said Reyes, due for free agency, is not in line for a big-money deal. He also said the injury-prone 34-year-old Beltran is "65 to 70 percent of what he was," and Wright, a five-time All-Star out with a stress fracture in his back, was deemed "not a superstar."
Reyes singled twice, and Beltran had a double, triple, two RBIs and scored twice Wednesday as the Mets won 7-4 in a game called with two outs in the top of the seventh by rain.
