Gonzalez had two hits and is 14 for 28 over his last six games, while Crawford went 4 for 4 and hit his second homer in three days.
"I definitely feel better than I did before," said Crawford, batting .308 in May after hitting .155 in April. "It feels nice to contribute to a game where everyone contributes."

Cliff Lee stymied the club he helped take to the World Series in his most recent start. He was even more dominant the last time he faced the Cincinnati Reds.

Less than 12 hours after his team won the longest game in the majors this season, the left-hander looks to help the Phillies take three of four from the visiting Reds on Thursday afternoon.
Lee (3-4, 3.38 ERA) should be one of the better rested players on either team after Philadelphia (30-19) outlasted Cincinnati 5-4 in 19 innings in a game that lasted 6 hours, 11 minutes and finished early Thursday morning.
After Phillies infielder Wilson Valdez pitched a scoreless top of the 19th, Raul Ibanez's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame made Valdez the first position player to earn a win since Colorado catcher Brent Mayne in 2000.
"It was funny, but (Valdez) got it done," said Phillies slugger Ryan Howard, whose solo homer in the ninth sent the game to extra innings.
The Reds (26-24), who rallied from a 3-0 deficit, lost again after ending a season-high six-game skid Tuesday.

It's been almost two years since the Baltimore Orioles won five games in a row.

The Orioles look to match that feat Thursday and sweep a three-game set from the visiting Kansas City Royals, who hope to avoid a fifth straight defeat.
Adam Jones had two hits and two RBIs to highlight an eight-run fourth inning in Baltimore's 9-2 win over Kansas City on Wednesday. The eight runs were the most in an inning by the Orioles (23-24) since they also scored eight in the sixth against Washington on June 26, 2009.
The Orioles' four straight wins match their season-best 4-0 start. Baltimore has not won five in a row since June 17-21, 2009, or swept the Royals (22-26) since May 28-30, 2007.
"We are playing better of late," said Jones, whose two-run homer in the ninth gave the Orioles a 5-3 win Tuesday. "We are not trying to get ahead of ourselves and think about three days in advance."
Jones is batting .375 with that homer and 14 RBIs in May. He's hit .433 with seven RBIs during a seven-game hitting streak versus Kansas City.

LeBron James is doing it all for Miami, hitting big shots and clamping down on MVP Derrick Rose.

The Heat lead the Chicago Bulls 3-1 in the Eastern Conference finals and a win Thursday at the United Center means they'll be playing for a championship.

That's exactly the way James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh envisioned it when they decided to join together in the offseason. Miami is on the verge of its first trip to the finals since 2006 after beating Chicago 101-93 in overtime on Tuesday.

James led the way with 35 points and helped contain Rose down the stretch. Bosh chipped in with 22, Wade came up with three big blocks in overtime and the bench again delivered as the Heat took a commanding lead.

Now, they'll try to close this one out.

"We understand it's going to be a tough game," Wade said. "But we have the team and we have the guys that are capable of showing up and putting on a performance that we need to win the game. It's not going to be pretty, but that's not Miami Heat basketball anyway."

The Bulls dropped consecutive games only four times during the regular season and never lost more than two in a row. Their first three-game skid could not have come at a worse time.

"When you look at the score, 3-1, it looks bad," Chicago's Luol Deng said.
